Assistant Coach / Assistant Camp Coordinator - Dena Floyd
Prior to joining the staff at NC State University Floyd worked at Stanford the previous four years as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. With the Cardinal, she directed all aspects of strength and conditioning for seven sports, including women’s soccer.
She was on staff for the Stanford club that made an appearance in the College Cup in Cary this past fall, finishing as a national semifinalist.
Floyd was a four-year member of the University of Florida women’s soccer program from 2000-03 when Springthorpe was an assistant coach for the Gators.
She was a vital part of two Southeastern Conference regular season and tournament championship teams in 2000 and 2001. The 2001 club made an appearance in the College Cup.
Floyd captained the 2003 team to an elite eight finish in her final season at Florida. She was named a NSCAA All-Southeast Region member that year as well.
Upon her graduation in the May of 2004, Floyd played four years of soccer in the W-League and the WPSL, the highest level of women’s soccer in the United States at the time.
